I just gained mine. how do I get that large chunky steel piece off the spline to make it look like it does in the 2nd picture. The spline is not uncovered. Perplexed. Did I purchase the improper merchandise?
A: Eliminate the castle nut from the threaded part of the shaft. The blade hub adapter ought to slide off the spline with a minor persuasion. Then the spline and the threads will be exposed.

what is the variation in between the 250179 and the 250001? They appear equivalent to me.
A: The general box is the identical, but the enter shaft requirements vary between the two.
